Entry one: Hello world, it is I, Nic Stumbo. I will be reading The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. This book is by Mark Twain. I chose this book because it will be good to read before the adventures of Huck Finn. I have a genuine interest in this book. I have heard lots of great stories about Tom Sawyer, he seems a lot like me; clever and awesome! I will keep you updated about this book! :)

Blog 2: 9/2/11 11:40 PM Hey.. just remembered that a blog was due. I've read about 30 pages of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. This book is actually pretty funny. The clever remarks and the creative things that Tom does really reminds me of myself. I have a feeling that as the adventures continue, I'll like this book more and more. I liked the whitewashing story a lot. Very clever. Until next week!"I'll give you all of it!" page 24- shows Tom making kids give him stuff.- Nic Stumbo

Blog 3 9/8/11 Hey... Nic Stumbo here. I'm really enjoying Tom Sawyer, I'm only on page 50, but I found the trickery of Tom hilarious. The way he got that bible is terrible, yet it's hilarious. Tom continues to remind me of myself.. I hope to read more this week.. I predict he will be more raunchy.

Blog 4 9/17/11 Dear class,
Tom Sawyer is getting into more and more trouble as this book progresses. He was caught hanging out with Huck Finn, and everybody hates Huck. Huck Finn reminds me of my friend Drew Weers, because nobody really likes him. I am like Tom, because I am clever and smart but I hang out with dirt bags... anyways Tom likes to flirt with a girl in his class after he gets in trouble and has to sit by girls. The girl reminds me of my friend Drew, because he asked me to teach him to draw... I dont know why i make so many connections with this book to my life, but it is a really grand book. Tom has a very low amount of patience, and his best friend Huck hangs around "witches". This book is really weird. I wish I could have read more but it has been a crazy week so I'm only on page 79. PS It will be very hard to finish the book #sooostressed.... I was right about my opinion. I have noticed Tom has gotten more and more clever, I was right about him being cunning.

Blog 5 9/28/11
Hey guys, I read my entire book. I really put it off a lot, but its done now and it was actually a good book. I enjoyed the complex plot structure.
Characters- Tom- Tom is the main character in the book. He is a very clever trouble maker. He tricks other kids into doing work for him, and giving him toys. His best friend is Huck Finn, and they adventure and search for hidden riches throughout the entire book.
Huck- Huck Finn is probably the next biggest character in the book. He is looked down upon, but he has his heroic moments, like in the end of the book when he "saves" the wife. He runs away with Tom and helps Tom look for treasure.
Sid- Sid is Tom's "perfect" little brother. He is really rude and causes a lot of trouble. He doesnt seem to care for much other than getting Tom in trouble. He does get yelled at a few times in the book, but he seems to be thought of highly. He honestly reminds me of my little brother.
Becky Thatcher- She is the girl Tom has a crush on. He seems to really like her, but he makes her really mad early on in the book. She is the mayor's daughter and Tom gets back together with her later in the book. She gets lost in the cave with Tom.
Summary- In the beginning you get the sense that Tom is ingenious. He tricks neighborhood kids into doing his work and he gets their toys for it. Then he runs away and attends his own funeral. He later searches for buried gold with Huck, and they find it, but the treasure they find was already found by a murderer. Tom has trouble getting over Injun Joe and loses sleep over it. I dont want to say much more as to keep from spoiling the book.
Rating- I would give this book a 4 star rating. It was super complicated, but I feel like it was a classic. It is one of those books that everyone should have to read at least once in their lives. The plot is clever and funny, but almost sophisticated in its own weird way.
Wiki Reflections- To be honest I hated the blog almost as much as reading logs. The blog is a pain to have to log onto, and I felt like my blogs didnt matter, because nobody actually was reading them anyways. It might be a step up from reading logs but I really disliked it.
